A little bark about us:

"When your job is doing what you love, you will never have to work a day in your life."

My name is Angela and I have 3 furry children: Dakota, my loyal Cocker Spaniel,  my little Queen miracle tri color sheltie, Jersey Mae, and the newest baby is Princess Shelby Shea, the lover of the bunch.   I am from Skiatook, Oklahoma where I had Pawsitively Perfect for 6 years. Skiatook is a very small lake community and very much a family.  It was sad to leave but I do go back to visit often!   I moved up to the Kansas City area in June 2007 .  I am so Blessed and excited that the business has done tremendously well here.  I have already added to the Paws Staff family and looking for another great groomer to join our team!

A little about Angela:  What I love besides grooming and dogs?  Nascar!  More specifically, #48 Jimmie Johnson.  You will find me in front of the tv on Sunday afternoon watching the races.  I also love to take my dogs to the dog park and play until we are all worn out.  God plays a HUGE role in my life and I do believe that through Faith, Trust, & Love, Anything is possible!

Now, the BIG NEWS.... To the left you will see Corey and Angela.  The wedding date has been set for Feb of 2009!  We are very excited about our new life together!

Some have often said I may be an obsessive compulsive person, haha.  Things out of place annoy me, hair in the house or the shop, papers out of place, all of it just has to be put in the proper places and cleaned.    Being OCD is not so bad, I think it makes me a better groomer actually.  I like the dogs to look just right and I like the salon to always be clean and inviting, never smelling like a dirty dog, even if there are 20 of them in here at the same time:)

Shelties are my favorite breed of course.  Something about them just tugs at my heart.  I always say that the long hair breeds are my specialty but I have been grooming more and more Bichons in the Overland Park area since we opened.  Bichons have always been a hard breed for me but for some reason, I have become known as the bichon girl of OP!  Needless to say, if you visit the shop, there will probably be at least 2 of these little white cotton balls there daily waiting to be hand scissored!
I take great pride in my grooming business!  I treat all the dogs as I would like to have mine treated...gentle hands and lots of kisses!  I love Shelties (obviously I have lots of them myself!), Goldens,Cockers, Standard Poodles, & Collies.  I LOVE big projects (see b4/afters on pet pics page!)  The outcome is so dramatic and as exhausting as it may be, I feel its even more rewarding when completed:)  I have NEVER shaved a collie or sheltie's coat off--I use a very unique hand stripping method to remove undercoat and matting.

I also do Pet Photography which is so much fun!  I invite you to stop in and see the salon.  I am PAWSitive you will be comfortable trusting your pet in my care!

Prayer for the Animals

Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals, especially for animals who are suffering; for any who are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry; for all that must be put to sleep. We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity, and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion and gentle hands and kindly words. Make us be true friends to animals and so to share the blessings of the merciful.    ~ Albert Schweitzer
